The Decks

Designed with elegance, luxury and modernity in mind, the decks of the AmaWaterways fleet are consistent in their high quality, boasting an array of exceptional amenities and tasteful interiors.

AmaWaterway's ships generally have around three decks, with a variety of cabins of differing sizes, each serviced by a professional and welcoming crew, who pride themselves on their warmth and efficiency. Each deck also provides areas for relaxing, with wide, tall windows, perfect for watching the delightful scenery drift by.

Proudly bearing orchestral titles, the Piano Deck is the lowest, generally with a pair of twin windows for views across the water. The second is the Cello Deck. Most cabins here have French Balconies and tend to be more spacious. The final and highest deck is the Violin Deck - these decks are made up of cabins with Outdoor and French Balconies, boasting perhaps the best views of all the on board cabins.

AmaPrima top deck breakfast

Many ships have two separate restaurants on two different decks, which travellers can enjoy. For an extra fee, passengers can dine at The Chef's Table. This restaurant offers a more intimate setting and a more select menu, situated in a dining room higher up in the ship, thus allowing for more spectacular vistas as you enjoy your carefully-crafted cuisine and hand-selected local drinks.

Bringing river cruising into the 21st century, AmaWaterways are also proud to provide complimentary high speed Wi-Fi on board, available throughout each deck.

Facilities

AmaWaterway's vessels are far more than simply a form of transport; they are floating hotels, replete with well-equipped facilities to make your voyage as all-encompassing as possible.

The cuisine is an all-important part of your river cruise and each AmaWaterway's ship has its own dedicated restaurant, featuring menus created under the guidance of award winning chef Primus Perchtold. With an excellent range of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is little wonder that AmaWaterways was granted a place on the prestigious culinary board, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

As well as the succulent gastronomic offerings, the restaurant offers a perfect chance to meet your fellow passengers, as you enjoy meals together against the backdrop of Europe.

Further opportunities for socialising can be found on the excellent outdoor sun deck at the top of the ship. Featuring comfortable lounge chairs, and many providing a whirlpool or swimming pool, kick back in comfort as well as style as you drift past the continent's mountains, vineyards and castles. This is truly the best spot from which to absorb the commanding scenery of Europe's marvellous waterways.

For bike lovers, many AmaWaterway's cruise ships boast a collection of well-maintained bicycles, allowing for more extensive exploration of the rural areas around each destination. Use of these bikes is free of charge, and some cruises offer guided biking tours of destinations, taking you away from the bustle of urban life into the pastoral tranquillity of Europe.
