The beautiful country of Hungary is a heady mix of tradition and elegance. Once part of the proud Austro-Hungarian Empire, Hungary has retained much of its stylish and refined architecture, as well as its verdant countryside, cut through with beautiful azure rivers, a few of which are the Danube, the Tisza, the Drava, and the Rába.
The capital city of Budapest is itself divided by the Danube, with hundreds of bridges sewing together the two sides of hilly Buda and the flat Pest - two ancient cities that are now unified into one. The Tisza is another beautiful Hungarian waterway. The second largest river in the country, this was once a 'national river', and it is only recently that international vessels have been allowed to sail on it.
